The complete renovation of 717 Delaware Street SE provides approximately 167,000 gsf (gross square feet) for Academic Health Center programs. The remodel focused on building envelope and infrastrucutre, mechanical and electrical system repair/replacement, and building code improvements. The remodeled interior provides extensive laboratory space, general office space for research support personnel, and conference and seminar space to support AHC programs.

The Academic Health Center hosted a Grand Opening ceremony on January 16, 2008. Dr. Frank Cerra, Dr. Gunda Georg and Dr. Jasjit Ahluwalia all offered remarks. Building-wide tours followed.
